部位特異的変異ライブラリー（Site-Directed Mutagenesis Libraries）とは、タンパク質やペプチドをコードする1つ以上のアミノ酸を指定されたアミノ酸に置換することによって作られた、変異アミノ酸を持つ一連の遺伝子配列の集合体を指します。
ランダム変異ライブラリー
ランダム変異ライブラリー（Random Mutant Library）とは、特定の手法によって遺伝子配列にランダムなヌクレオチド変異を導入し、ランダムなヌクレオチド変異を含む変異遺伝子の混合体を生成したものを指します。
縮重変異ライブラリー
